CYSTADS Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

CYSTADS is an online archive and cultural platform dedicated to preserving and promoting African heritage through storytelling, learning tools, digital art, and community engagement. Our Services include (but are not limited to):

• Cultural archive of African history and languages
• Community Hall for discussions and collaboration
• Language learning tools
• AI tools (e.g., text-to-image generator, virtual AR tours)
• Family tree and genealogy modules (coming soon)
• In-app quizzes and leaderboards
• Today in African History feature
• Ambassador and referral programs
• Merchandise, donations, and subscription-based tools

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country) to use CYSTADS. If you are under 18, you may use our Services only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.

3. Your Account

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current information during registration.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

CYSTADS reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account found in violation of these Terms.

4. User Content and Conduct

CYSTADS allows users to upload, post, comment, and share content, including text, images, questions, and other materials ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant CYSTADS a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works of your content in connection with operating and promoting our Services.

You are solely responsible for your content and agree that you will not upload or share any material that:

• Violates any law or infringes on intellectual property rights.
• Contains hate speech, harassment, or discrimination.
• Spreads misinformation or cultural defamation.
• Promotes violence or harmful activity.

We reserve the right to remove or disable access to any User Content that violates these Terms.

5. Earnings, Rewards, and Ambassador Programs

CYSTADS may offer various reward systems such as task-based earnings, referral bonuses, ambassador program incentives, leaderboards and content monetization (future). All earnings are subject to verification and may be adjusted or discontinued at our discretion. Earning mechanisms are not guaranteed income opportunities and may vary by region or program phase.

6. Donations and Subscriptions

When you make a donation or purchase a subscription, you agree to provide valid payment information and authorize CYSTADS to charge the applicable fees.

• Donations are non-refundable unless required by law.
• Subscriptions will automatically renew unless canceled prior to the renewal date.
• We may change pricing or subscription terms with prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and technology on CYSTADS (excluding User Content) are the exclusive property of CYSTADS or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit any part of our Services without prior written consent.

8. AI and AR Tools

CYSTADS provides access to AI-based and augmented reality tools for creative and educational use. You agree to use these tools responsibly and not to generate or share content that:

• Misrepresents real individuals,
• Promotes misinformation or hate,
• Violates privacy or copyright laws.

CYSTADS is not liable for outputs generated by AI or AR tools.

9. Community Standards

CYSTADS is a cultural ecosystem — respect is mandatory. We encourage open dialogue but prohibit disrespectful or divisive behavior, cultural misappropriation or misinformation, and use of the platform for political propaganda or personal attacks. Violation of community standards may result in temporary suspension or permanent account removal.

10. Termination

CYSTADS may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe that you violated these Terms or applicable laws, your actions could harm the community or platform integrity, or at our sole discretion for operational reasons. Upon termination, your license to use the Services ends immediately.

11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

CYSTADS is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the Services will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CYSTADS and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of our Services.

12. Privacy

Your use of CYSTADS is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify users via the app, email, or website notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with international digital law principles, with respect to cross-border users of African descent. In case of dispute, parties agree to resolve matters through good-faith discussion before pursuing legal remedies.
